Leisure vehicle, fun car, collector's item,the BMW Z3for rent on Châtelaillon-Plage, La Rochelle or the island of RéBMW's first successful roadster.

The Z3 was the first vehicle designed and then produced in just 36 months. It was also the first BMW vehicle to be built outside of Germany.

Production began in the fall of 1995.

The launch of the vehicle was underlined by the choice of the Z3 as the vehicle of James Bond in the film Golden Eye from 1995 with Pierce Brosnan in the role of "007"
